Now It Is Apple's turn to ‘Divorce’ WikiLeaks

APPLE removed the unofficial application WikiLeaks in the iPhone, iPod Touch and App Store iPad because of violating the guidelines for software developers. "Applications must comply with applicable laws," said Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller, Wednesday (22/12). "This move will not harm an individual or a group of lost."

"We have removed WikiLeaks applications from App Store because it violates the guidelines our developers,"added Muller. WikiLeaks applications worth U.S. $ 1.99 provides a mobile version of the content WikiLeaks, which is available free on the web page that secret organizations and access to the Twitter feed. Apple's move was approved on December 17, but removed from the App Store on Monday (20/12).

Application developer, Igor Barinov, said it had planned to donate U.S. $ 1 from every download to WikiLeaks. Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and Amazon as well as other U.S. companies have pulled their services from WikiLeaks whistle blower since the page began releasing thousands of secret U.S. diplomatic wire.
